Job Summary:
The Application Development Specialist (ADS) acts as a contact point between customers, project team, design team as well as research and development to identify practical solutions for customer needs. 

How You Can Be the Impact 
  • Provide technical support to existing and new customers of POLYVANTIS sheet, film, and profiles.
  • Understand and interpret material requirements of new customers, new products, and new business opportunities. 
  • Propose new material solutions based upon customer needs and POLYVANTIS delivery capability. 
  • Conduct industry analyses and recognize new market/technology trends, the need for new product solutions, and opportunities to improve POLYVANTIS’ sales and market share. 
  • Technical support includes (but not limited to): 
  • Lamination.
  • Thermoforming. 
  • Cold forming and bending. 
  • In-mold decoration. 
  • Cutting, drilling, and routing techniques. 
  • Paint, print and adhesion techniques. 
  • Laser etching and printing.
  • Build advanced process understanding, expertise, and develop training for internal and external customers. 
  • Support the introduction of new materials with application development ensuring process optimization at customer base. 
  • Handling, analyzing, and reporting of technical issues at customer base. 
  • Help to manage and maintain customer relations, while realizing new business with existing customers and acquiring new customers. 
  • Communicate to business the customer’s voice and KPI’s. 
  • Be recognized by customers as an expert in relevant technical areas. 
What Matters to POLYVANTIS 
  • Advanced degree in Engineering, preferably in Material/Polymer Science and relevant work experiences in application and product development. 
  • Minimum five (7) years of experience in technical/process/application development. 
  • A hands-on and practical approach to problem solving at a customer level. 
  • Strong technical orientation and understanding of multiple processing technologies for multiple plastics.
  • Time management and prioritization. 
  • Strong analytical skills. 
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. 
  • Provide value and solutions to customer’s requests. 
  • Presentation skills. 
  • Field role requiring up to 40-50% travel, mostly within North, South America and Canada region.
Work Availability
Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work Monday- Friday during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
