Job Summary 

POLYVANTIS Technology & Innovation (T&I) is looking for a fulltime Director of Product Stewardship (PST)/Regulatory/Sustainability (ESG) to oversee global business continuity operations.

  • Ensures business continuity and growth with respect to product compliance with government regulatory requirements, international and major customer standards for the POLYVANTIS Business on a global scale (license-to-operate; license-to-sell).
  • Acts as primary regulatory technical advisor for new product, process, and chemistry initiatives and marshals Product Stewardship SME expertise to support development and commercial activities.
  • Secures adequate protection against environmental and consumer health related complaints/incidents associated with our products and their application (e.g. healthcare, food contact, Electrical & Electronic, automotive, etc.)
  • Drives regulatory and responsible care communications and Environmental/Social/Governance (ESG) principles for products and issues.

How You Can Be the Impact 
  • Lead and manage a global team of Product Stewardship and Regulatory employees.
  • Acts as a strategic partner for POLYVANTIS to support business growth; Business Focal Point (BFP) will become fully dedicated towards POLYVANTIS and will be an integral part of key business and technology planning processes with senior leadership.
  • Aligns with the business and potentially outsourced work partners to facilitate the operational and tactical POLYVANTIS business needs effectively and efficiently.
  • Lead continuous improvement of current PST operational and tactical performance by reallocation of existing resources by revised work practices and tools, improving speed and agility on business processes and business decisions (e.g., deviations in manufacturing, new material introduction, project partnership, customer interaction).
  • Pro-actively focuses on emerging Product Stewardship and Regulatory-related trends, and their potential impact to business strategies and represents POLYVANTIS on key product or issue advocacy and industry trade groups.
  • Helps establish a strong internal network with key POLYVANTIS functions in all layers of the organization.
What Matters to POLYVANTIS 
  • Technical degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 10 years of professional experience, preferably in Product Stewardship.
  • Petro or Chemical Industry experience in Chemistry, Technology or Regulatory Affairs/Product Safety.
  • Ability to effectively monitor regulatory developments and industry trends.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Fluent in English.
  • Proven leadership and organizational skills.
Work Availability
Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work Monday- Friday during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
